Palin Will Not Seek GOP Nomination For President - Politics News Story - WJXT Jacksonville:
Well, for most political observers, professional or otherwise, this news comes as no real surprise. With all the baggage Palin has picked-up since the 2008 election, it's was pretty much a foregone conclusion she wouldn't and couldn't run. Even without all her social drama and negative media hype, she had little or no change of capturing the GOP nomination let alone winning a national election. Sarah Palin is simply not presidential material. She's not even gubernatorial material for that matter. However, she is by no means out of national politics, not by a long shot, and like the "Terminator," she'll be back. Even though she's had her "Fifteen" minutes Palin, has big plans to cash in on her inexplicable popularity. She will hold out any support or endorsements until late in the primary. Then, just before the convention, she will come out of the wings again swinging for whichtever Republican candidate gives her the best cabinet or appointment promise. Sadly though, with her professional qualifications an assistant ambassador in Finland is the best she can hope for...

It's been said that,... "A Banker will give you an umbrella on a sunny day and then take it back when it starts to rain." That expression couldn't have any more worldly significance than right now and, right here in America. After creating the most devastating economic crisis since the Depression, the American banking industry was granted the largest financial bail-out program in U.S. history. There can be no doubt that most of America's largest banks would no longer exist had it not been for the taxpayer supported Economic Bail-Out. How humbling indeed it was to watch night after night on world news, as bankers with "hat in hand" were begging Congress to save their greedy asses with taxpayer dollars.Now, four years later all of that is a distant memory for them as they conceive and implement new fee plans and acts of higher greed.What this country did for banks and bankers means next to nothing to them. Like a wild animal hit crossing the road. You can nurse it back to life, show it all the care in the world, still, one day it'll recover and turn against you...

According to the all knowing Channel 4 News, "the cuts represent about 4% of the 1,651 Jacksonville officers on the force before layoffs began." Well, in balance against the backdrop of Florida's near 11% unemployment, that's really not all that bad. Notwithstanding their given heir of entitlement, the police had to know this day was coming and, the Sheriff had to know it could have been avoided. Had Rutherford represented other options more tactfully to the overall force, many if not all these jobs could have been saved. Apparently giving up the free ride program, a slight cut in pay and increasing retirement contributions was to much to ask of his faithful. Like Tony Montana said,..."look at you now"!

Saints Start Fast, Handle Jaguars 23-10 - Sports News Story - WJXT Jacksonville:
Well as usual, the Jacksonville Jaguars are off to their standard unimpressive start. At 1-3 most enlightened fans know exactly where this season is headed and exactly where Jack Del Rio is headed . Rumor has it, his house and boat are already up for sale. So, perhaps it is time for Jack to hit the showers and quietly pack his bag. Given his dismal record and stats while here in Jacksonville, one has to now contemplate that perhaps many of the roster changes Jack made were simply professional cover for his own coaching inadequacies. Small wonder it is then that some players released in the past by Jacksonville went on to SuperBowl success. Perhaps Jack's great legacy will be that he firmly cemented the Jags future here in the River City. After all who want's to buy a losing football team in a broken economy...

Well, you don't have to be a crime scene detective to see where this case is headed. After making his soft arrest, the Police are already conducting a campaign of sympathy for him.Good money says this killer cop will receive the highest level of consideration and leanancy possible from authorities. By the time this case is through, the Sheriff's Office will have the facts so distorted, the record will boldly suggest it was justified self defence.In the end, this man who obiously can't deal with a simple domestic issue probably won't receive much jail time,... if any at all. Professionaly speaking, it makes one stop and ask, how this ex-cop functioned in law enforcement for twenty years? Now you know...
