What an unambiguous question. Bankers and therefore banks are the cause, the effect and the overall reasons why this country has fallen into the deepest economic collapse since the Great Depression. They, and their corrupt dealings have always been the root cause of every financial calamity in U.S. history. Yet, the government continues allowing them to operate throughout the halls of power with almost complete impunity. Even with overwhelming documentation of fraud, forgery and perjury, the Justice Department continues to look the other way while they put together a neat amnesty package designed to shield bankers from their latest crimes against working people. Rather than protecting the humble home owners destroyed through their corrupt business practices, the Justice Department is in full swing protecting the bankers of America. Presently, they are about to receive yet another free legal pass instead of being subjected to The RICO Act like any other organized criminal enterprise would be. Leave it to our gutless government to do battle for everyone except the people they are elected to protect, serve and represent. Surely there is a special corner in Hell set aside just for bankers and the politicians they own...
